Our children have recently taken up an interest in woodworking. They love helping their grandmother and their dad whenever they are building something.
At the Discovery Museum in Acton, we found a great wood shop. Children use real tools and small, manageable wood scraps to put together their own creations. The gift of a museum membership is always well worth it!
We are also signing up for a woodworking class as holiday gift. We love the Umbrella Community Arts Center and are looking forward to trying out "Carpenter's Craft." (They also have a drop-in Saturday morning program (9 AM- 12 PM), where you can use the maker space for just $5!).
