Winter is a great time to observe the night sky. It's dark so early! On our way north, we stopped in Concord, NH at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, an incredible space museum. With rockets, telescopes, exhibits on NASA's history, and hands-on activities, each member of our family was engaged for hours. In the photo above, we are looking at the moon during the day using an incredible telescope.
Do you remember doing this project in school? My daughter noticed the moon changing each week, and we began to study the cycle. It was fun to tape this chart up to the window to observe each night, and use the correct terminology.
Closer to home, we love the space exhibits at the Museum of Science. It is such a fun place to play and learn.
